Lyndsey Jameson

Artist Statement

My work focuses primarily on the human condition and ideas around existential nihilism. The work is often characterized by vivid colours that are contrasted against darker tones, evoking an air of unease. Highly realistic focal points draw the observers’ gaze, expressing anguish and the uncanny through gesture and symbolism. Each picture reads like allegory ending in resignation.
