Anna Wypych

Artist Statement

"My paintings tell stories about feelings and thoughts. I concentrate on the human condition as this is what fascinates me. It is the main motivation to my whole art activity. I believe in people, that we are good, strong and wise. But what hypnotizes me the most is an inner power, the strength of character, that elusive factor which makes a difference in each person. This is what I attempt to capture."

Anna Wypych, born in Poland, is one of those artists whose paintings become more interesting the more you know about her. She paints realistic portraits in the traditional oil technique. She concentrates on the human condition and her powerful women portraits show a variety of inner strength that can be found in people.

Winner of Best of Show and Pioneer in Realism awards at the 2020 International Guild of Realism and Purchase Award "14th International ARC Salon” Art Renewal Center 2019. Her paintings are in permanent collections of the European Museum of Modern Art, Barcelona in Spain, Muskego Museum of Art, Muskegon, USA;  the National Museum in Gdansk, the Museum of City Gdansk, Museum of City Gdynia, Poland.
